BCHS Baseball Wins District

Congratulations to the District Champion BCHS Baseball team!  We need our BC Family to come out Monday, Memorial Day and cheer on the Trojans in the region tournament at WKU Baseball Field.  Tournament draw will be posted Saturday.  Games will also be broadcasted on ESPN 1230 or via web.

BCHS Announces Governor’s Scholars for GSP and GSA

Barren County High School is proud to announce eight students have been named as 2015 Governor’s Scholars. Juniors Maddie Costlow, Zach Zuccari, Gunnar Eaton, Seth Groce, Veronica Johnson and David Lancaster will be attending the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP) this summer. Sophomore Anne Calloway Kinsman and junior Lane Myers will be attending the Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) in June.  Letitia Hughes, Magnet Program Principal, says this is an outstanding group of students. “I am so proud of all our Barren County High School students who were selected to participate in these Governor’s Programs.   Their talent continues to amaze me. These are dedicated students who will achieve great things in their lives and have the compassion to use their talents to impact others in positive ways. They are all so deserving of this honor.”

Trojan Youth Baseball Camp

ALL YOUTH WELCOME., you do NOT have to be in the
BC School System to participate.

When: Monday, June 8-Wednesday, June 10- Drop off begins @ 8:45am. Camp instruction begins @ 9am,
Where/Who: BCHS Baseball Field FOR All baseball players ages 5-Middle School
Cost: $35/player, $30 for each additional sibling. This includes camp t-shirt.

BCHS Summer Cheer Clinic

BCHS Cheerleaders will host a cheer clinic on May 28 & 29, 2015 at the Barren County Trojan Academy gym.  The clinic will run from 9:00 - 12:30 each day and the cost is $35 per child and will include a t-shirt, snacks, drinks, and experienced cheer instruction or $30 per child without a t-shirt.  Click here for more information & registration form.

Barren County High School business and marketing students hosted the 2015 BC Community Fashion Show on March 21, 2015. Students organized and led the successful event. From contacting and networking with community business leaders, to designing the marketing plan and tools for the event, to serving as models and emcees, students were infused into every aspect of the fashion show.

Rachel Perkins Receives Scholarship for PLTW Training

Rachel Perkins (PLTW Engineering Instructor) has been selected to receive the George M. Binder KSPE Past President’s Scholarship for Project Lead The Way. The total amount of this scholarship is $2,500 and will be used toward the PLTW tuition and expenses for her summer module training.
