Austin-Tracy and ALL Barren County Schools to Participate in iLearn@home Again this School Year iLearn@Home logo

This school year, Barren County Schools are once again participating in non-traditional instructional days which we call "iLearn@home".  During iLearn days, students will complete tasks from their core classes and will be granted that day as a day of instruction which means it will not have to be made up.

The first five snow or inclement weather days that we miss in Barren County after November 30th will be iLearn days.  All five days of iLearn assignments will go home with your child(ren) on November 30th.  Please hold on to these packets and turn in work as we miss and have iLearn@home days.

As always, teachers and staff will be available to you by various means to answer any questions.

We are lucky to have this opportunity as it will allow us to hopefully get out for summer break in mid-May.

Thank you for your continued encouragement and support!

Austin-Tracy Named a Distinguished School of Distinction

Austin-Tracy was recently named a Distinguished/Progressing School of Distinction High Progress School by the Kentucky Department of Education.  State assessment results showed increased achievement in all areas (reading, mathematics, social studies, writing, and language mechanics).  In addition, students scoring novice in reading and mathematics was cut in half with only 6.5% novice in both areas.

In state rankings, Austin-Tracy is currently 30th out of 709 elementary schools.  This places ATES in the top five percent of all elementary schools in the state.

"We are thrilled to be designated as a Distinguished School of Distinction by the Kentucky Department of Education.  With a dedicated staff, hard-working students, and supportive families, Austin-Tracy is a fantastic place to learn and grow." states Principal Brian Clifford.  "We track our students throughout the year to make sure they are making progress and intervene when needed to provide individualized attention and ensure learning success.  This student-centered approach creates a positive school culture and a real 'family' atmosphere at Austin-Tracy.  We are all so proud of our amazing students!"
