Program Goals

Our program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

Afterschool Program
The afterschool programs provide extended opportunities for learning in a safe and secure environment offering participants

  • Nutritional snacks

  • Correlation between regular school day curriculum

  • Music, art, drama, and academic games

  • Computer skill-based activities

  • Sports and recreation

  • Cooking

  • Homework help and tutoring with certified teachers and high school mentors

21st CCLC Registration will continue at each site until all spots are filled. As with many FREE programs, parents are encouraged to sign up at their preferred site ASAP.

  • Seats will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Seats are limited, so please enroll early.

  • The after school enrollment process has been simplified so that most families will not need to submit more documents after completing the online enrollment form.

  • No child will be permitted to start until after school enrollment has been confirmed.
