Barren Schools Closure Extended until May 1

At the request of Gov. Beshear, Barren County Schools is extending the school closure through May 1st.  Teachers will be communicating about the additional iLearn@home days and the pace of the work to be completed.  Remember April 6th through April 10th will stand as our spring break, and NO iLearn@home activities will be conducted during this time.  Please continue to check the website for our daily update and further information.

Changes to Meal Delivery and School Office Hours Beginning Monday, March 30th
  • Meal service will change to Monday, Thursday delivery. On Monday, we will deliver meals for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday, we will deliver meals for Thursday and Friday.  Although iLearn@home days will pause during spring break, meal delivery will continue on the Monday, Thursday schedule.
  • Staff will only be present in buildings on Monday and Thursday. Teachers will continue their normal daily activities with iLearn@home and will continue to be available to offer assistance throughout the week.

Barren County Central Office Closed

Due to COVID 19, our Central Office is now closed to walk-in visitors.  In addition, as of March 30th, the Central Office will only be open on Mondays & Thursday for business and phone call.   We have made this decision to protect the health of not only our staff, but also to protect the health of the community.  By limiting face-to-face contact, we can dramatically reduce the chances of spreading the virus.

We are still here to serve you.  For assistance, please call 270-651-3787.  We will do our best to resolve your issue through a telephone call or email.  If an in person meeting is required, please call.   We will make the appropriate arrangements to assist you.
