Welcome to my Teacher Webpage, I hope you find my site to be helpful and user friendly. I am very excited to have the pleasure of being your child's teacher this school year and I hope that you can share in that excitement with me. I will be teaching 5th Grade Reading.
My name is Mrs. Jeanie Rogers and this is my 11th year of teaching, but my third year as a Red Cross Mustang. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in December 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in July 2012. I have lived in Barren County for 39 years and couldn't think of a better place to be surrounded by my family and friends. With the addition of a daughter, Preslee (7), to our family I certainly have my hands full and love spending every minute that I can spend with her. In my spare time, I am an avid reader and I love to attend Tennessee Walking Horse shows with my family. I married my best friend, Adam, and we have had a blessed life together for the past 10 years. We have two nieces and a nephew, Kenzie (16), Allie (12) and Trigg (1), that we love to spend time with as well!
I sincerely hope this year is a memorable time in your child's life that is filled with fun and learning. I have an open door policy for you to ask questions or voice concerns. Please feel free to contact me when you need anything during my planning time (8:20 - 9:05) or any time after 2:30 in the afternoon. I see the parents and guardians of my students as very important members of my 5th grade team. With us all working together we will certainly make sure that your child has the best educational experience possible.
Come along and join in on our learning adventure!! If you have any questions feel free to email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call me at school (270) 659-2400.
