Barren County Schools is proud to announce that Angela Reeder has been selected as the 2026 Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Council of Teachers of English (KCTE).
Reeder was nominated in recognition of her dedication to her students, her passion for literacy, and her commitment to the teaching profession. Through her work in the classroom, she helps students build strong reading and writing skills while creating a learning environment where they feel supported and encouraged.
“Angela represents the very best of our teachers,” said Brian Clifford, Park City Elementary Principal. “Her commitment to her students and her focus on literacy make a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond.”
The Kentucky Council of Teachers of English recognizes outstanding educators across the state who demonstrate excellence in teaching English and language arts. Reeder’s selection reflects both her daily work with students and her broader contributions to education.
