The Barren County Alumni Association and the Barren County Education Foundation will host the 18th Annual Hall of Distinguished Honor induction ceremony on Sunday, May 3, at the Barren County High School Auditorium.

A meet and greet will take place from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The Hall of Distinguished Honor recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions through leadership, service, and dedication to their professions, communities, and Barren County Schools.

The Class of 2026 inductees includes:

  • Dr. Donald Colliver, Hiseville High School, Class of 1970

  • Casey Wood Hensley, Barren County High School, Class of 1993

  • Dr. Spencer Larkin, Barren County High School, Class of 2006

  • Brad Ward, Barren County High School, Class of 1985

In addition, Jimmy Lowe, a 1967 graduate of Temple Hill School, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his decades of service in education and his lasting impact on students and the community.

The program will also include scholarship recognition for Barren County students, highlighting the continued investment in future generations through alumni and foundation support.

This annual event celebrates the strong tradition of excellence across Barren County Schools and honors individuals whose achievements reflect positively on their alma mater and community.

The ceremony is open to the public.
