We’re looking for community volunteers for ALL IN FOR AG EDUCATION WEEK!
Barren County Schools will celebrate ALL IN FOR AG EDUCATION WEEK, September 21–25, and we’re inviting our community to be part of it!
We’re looking for farmers, producers, agriculture professionals, local businesses, organizations, and community members who would be willing to share their time, knowledge, and experiences with our students.
Whether you can visit a classroom, share about your career, demonstrate a skill, bring something hands-on, read an agriculture-themed book, provide a virtual farm tour, or simply help our students learn more about agriculture—we’d love to have you join us!
Want to be ALL IN FOR AG?
Complete our volunteer interest form below, and we’ll use your information as we begin coordinating activities and schedules across the district.

Cory played a major role in building our district’s network and advancing information technology across the district. Beyond being a brilliant programmer and a tremendous asset, Cory has been a wonderful colleague and friend to so many throughout BC Schools.
We are grateful for his many years of service and wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter!

Thank you to SpanTech for your incredible support of Barren County Schools! SpanTech was recognized at our August Board of Education meeting with the Leave a Legacy Award in honor of all they have done for our students and schools, especially our CTE programs.
We are grateful for their continued partnership, investment in our students, and commitment to helping create opportunities that prepare them for the future.

We could not be more proud of our students who represented Barren County Schools at the Kentucky State Fair School Garden Squash Challenge!
What these students accomplished was a win in every way that matters. From elementary school through their senior year, they came together as one team—supporting one another, solving problems, sharing responsibilities, and stepping onto the Farm to Fair Cooking Stage with confidence. They made their demonstration fun and informative, laughed and learned along the way, and showed just how much students can accomplish when agriculture, nutrition, and hands-on learning come together.
And we are pretty proud of what was on the plate, too! Our students created their recipe using produce grown across our own Barren County school campuses, supplemented with Kentucky Proud products. From growing and harvesting to prepping, cooking, presenting, and serving, this was truly a farm-to-school experience.
Representing Barren County were:
AnneClaire Garmon — Senior, Barren County High School
Gracie Jones — Junior, Barren County High School
Maleigha Drury — Junior, Barren County High School
Ainsley Cash — Junior, Barren County High School
Carson Smith — Freshman, Barren County High School
Landon Staples — 5th Grade, Hiseville Elementary
Trayce Crain — 4th Grade, North Jackson Elementary
Brayden Crain — 2nd Grade, North Jackson Elementary
They represented our district incredibly well, and we hope they are as proud of themselves as we are of them. No trophy needed to call this one a success. 💛🌱
