Barren County athletes showed up strong at the Class 3A, Region 2 Track Meet! Riley Wilson dominated the field events, bringing home two regional titles in the girls' discus (105’11”) and shot put (32’4”) — making her a back-to-back champion in both! Greyson Billingsley launched the boys’ discus 149’7” to take the win. Samantha Roemer soared to a first-place finish in the girls’ high jump with a 5’ clearance. Qualifiers for the State Meet in Lexington on May 31 include: Gracie Reed – 2nd in the girls’ 3200m Addy Roemer – Tied for 2nd in the high jump Daylan Thomas – 2nd in boys’ shot put We're proud of all of our track athletes for the time and effort they've put in this season! We’re incredibly proud of the Barren County students who were named winners in the 2025 Kentucky Department of Agriculture Poster and Essay Contest! Out of 1,001 entries from across the state, 25 students were selected—and six of them are from Barren County! Their artwork will be showcased at the Kentucky State Fair later this year.
